in the same way many have said plastic has replaced the need for cardboard, i find this to be untrue, there's many applications the need for cardboard would be much more viable, kids retreats being a major one, if you've seen soccer moms trying to prepare many different varities of sports objects into a car boot, the same could be said for plastic peripherals. The ability to falt pack for childrens retreats can be essential and if your scaling up for adults can have the same issue, presentations virtually cannot be flat packed with plastics without alot of hassle and pre-rigged olastic, with cardboard its self explanatory. Cardboard is not outdated despite corpoate opinion, they just lack foresight on many cases. Virtual presentations out the box is perfect for corporate retreats
This is one version and google is currently working on another prototype, and google don't hold a monopoly to cardboard and lenses so i would expect more people to muscle in on this like pizza hut. I suspect you'll get sick of hearing about these pretty shortly but that doesn't diminish the fact that this little piece of cardboard can stand next to the power demanding console VR head-sets at a pittance of the costs as long as you own a current recommended smart-phone ˚◡˚
