VR horror games 2016

The anti video-game people are gonna have a field day with this, but it's a tribute to how real games are feeling, how games look and thirdly how they make you feel, some of the new horrors don't stand par with my old classics regardless of how much modern-age-Green-screen trickery they add, you can't replace the feeling. Scarily video-game-developers are aware of this also and are going to try there best to scare the Captain-Kirk mask right off of yo face
it's all about the feeling not the graphics

Dreadhalls

Creatures walking and stalking through the halls and corridors leaving it up to your amazing talent of survival to make it through without harm for you fear no reaper, the lord is your Shepard, and that smell is the flock and totally not you

Affected

Affected is like a horror Halloween house of the year, at least it would be if it were real. At the menu you choose between three levels each of which contains a different horror scenario to crawl through. it has a short run with alot of scares and shrieks along the way try not to spoil it for yourself, but if you have to, fair enough, just wished it were longer. I imagine in time these will have larger updates and sequel depending on popularity

Doors of Silence

Taking a Queue from John Carpenter's style, who woulda thought growing up watching those types of films was actually a classroom test for some. Can you capture crisp tense atmosphere, Check, can you creep people the hell out, Check, original freaky piano music with dark tense undertones check, a rudimentary character with disguised depth masquerading as a cliche check, take it altogether then let it self-manifest (then stir) until it looks nothing like your original planning, check, yup that's John Carpenter alright

DreadEye

Think of the rollercoaster VR now slow it down to a crawl slap you in a wheel chair then slowly winds you around a chaotic asylum full of monsters, scares and pitfalls

Crystalrift

If i could sum this up into a few words i would call it scary maze trapdoor or as they called it CrystalRift, you have to use your judgement to make it out this alive avoiding all the traps and falls like the Cube film but more corridor based, saying that The Cube would be awesome with like a multiplayer support

Late Night Shop

Evade mannequins in this shop of the damned the mannequins have strange powers but be careful not everything is as it seems as you search around trying to accomplish goals on your list

Albino Lullaby: Episode 1

Albino Lullaby is a horror adventure game that doesn't rely on jump scares or gore. Escape from a surreal psychological nightmare as the world dynamically twists and contorts around you.

Monstrum

A procedurally generated game, meaning each game will be unique as the games engine decides randomly the best combination to load the game each time making it that little more unique, then throw some permadeth, predators and AI into an abandoned cargo ship full of demons makes it the perfect blend of horror game

Amnesia: The Dark Descent

Amnesia the survival horror series has been around for a while but has a large fan base so it has seen many advancements both from the official version and the fans there's a VR mod that allows you to enter the nightmare once more chalked full of scares and jumps, we're sure this will not disappoint your taste buds for fear, can you keep your nerve while everyone around you loses theirs

Alien Isolation -custom hack needed to play

The tensions atmosphere genre that needs no introduction, some would even say started the whole genre or at least did it in a meaningful, proper and suspenseful way, so it's easy to say the game recreates that perfectly and unlike the cash grabs before it actually gives you a tangible story line you can sink your teeth into further immersing you into the Alien universe, a world with Xenomorphs would be a great place, a slightly more paranoid one, but a better place all the same
