It had a spectacular mountain view, with some centuries-old pine trees in and around the plot, all of which further added to the plot’s suitability and attractiveness for them.
The technical dimensions of the pine tree:
Species: Pinus Brutia Ten (Red Pine)
Age: 325 years
Height: 16 Meters
Circumference: 320cm
Normally the plans would require notes about hand digging around the root zone, and an arborist would most likely be on site during any work that might affect the tree.

According to the approved municipal zoning plan, in order for them to build their Center, they would have to cut down the imposing, evergreen pine trees that were on the plot.

Account for the additional bearing stresses at the holes in the building encountered on a windy day? If built right, this might be able to actually make the tree less likely to break/fall, as the building is now supporting the trunk at multiple points, thus limiting its maximum deflection.
